A chocolate lovers dream

Dark chocolate and salted caramel cottage
Omg omg omg
This may take 8 hours to defrost in the fridge but most certainly worth the wait! However, definitely not for the faint hearted. It’s chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. Now I’m not sure how many this is meant to serve but it served 3 greedy foodies and baby foodie had a taste too so I’m presuming 6-8 but i won’t check as my stomach is trying to tell my brain we were good ‘ it serves 2 and we stretched it to 3’ (most definitely wasn’t the case but makes me feel better!) Its only downfall in my opinion was the biscuit base could do with being only half the thickness. Everything else was spot on though I might add, father in law foodie emerged looking a little ‘over indulged’ shall we say. But that was mainly down to our overly generous portion sizes.eek. I’m pretty sure this was just a Christmas item but I will definitely, definitely be looking out for this again. One very happy, round foodie 🙂

Turkey and festive stuffing Wellington

Both good and bad
Ok, pastry good, turkey good, stuffing good (albeit a little too sweet). So what’s bad??? Well, the stuffing to turkey ratio. It just let it down completely unfortunately. We served 4 people cutting off the end pieces and putting to one side. These of which were just stuffing so in order to serve 6 , 2 people wouldn’t be getting turkey at all! Then, if u were to look at each individual portion, overall there was more stuffing than turkey. Would I buy it again? No, I wouldn’t. Would I eat it again? yes,it was still nice but definitely needed more turkey, less stuffing. So sorry M&S , you let me down with this one. I won’t be purchasing again.

Everest Tandori – takeaway

Clockwise from top left: 1. Special rice 2. Kalamirchi 3. Prawn biryani and 4. Freebie(vegetable curry)
Sag and cheese Naan

Our first takeaway with Everest Tandori and we weren’t disappointed.

Well we didn’t order a vegetable curry, it seems to be some sort if extra but hey, not complaining!

OK, the food arrived hot which I know it should but isn’t always the case so that’s box one ticked.

Let me start with the naan. I couldn’t really see or taste cheese but it was very good. It wasn’t soggy or dry and held itself together far better than master foodie when he doesn’t get what he wants. Tasted good and I have to say perfectly done.

Special rice was great, not too dry or sticky and had a good flavour to it. Then there’s the Kalamirchi, I have never had this before and wasn’t disappointed. A good chilli kick to it which was fantastic. I would definitely eat that again. The prawn biryani was also full of great flavours and even the unordered vegetarian was great.

Nothing left a greasy/oily residue on the place which was fantastic. I dont really have much more I can say other than it was very yummy, come on down?!!!!!!!
